Despite the cold weather – what a great turnout for the Groundbreaking for Carrie Smith and her family on April 28th! Her house is being sponsored by The Principal Financial Group in Mason City. We are thankful and look forward to working with Principal and the Smith family on this upcoming house. The location of the house build is near the Highland Golf Course at the end of 17th St NE, right next to another great Partner Family member, Janine Schrieber. Thanks to everyone for coming out!
Thursday July 28 we had a group of volunteers from Principal Financial Group came out to build walls for Carrie Smith’s Habitat for Humanity home. Principal Financial Group is sponsoring the Smith home to be built in Mason City on 17th ST NE, by Highland Golf course. We look forward to partnering with Principal Financial Group.
Habitat for Humanity NCI just celebrated our 4th home dedication in 4 months last night – phew! Carrie Smith and her two children became the 43rd local family to partner with Habitat to become homeowners during a wonderful and moving ceremony last night. Congratulations to the Smith family as they embark on this great new start in their life. We also want to say a HUGE thank you to Principal Financial Group for being this house sponsor! Principal was an excellent group to work with during this past year… they had over 200 employees which logged in over 2,000 volunteer hours!!! Not only that…but about 80% of the volunteer’s women! We are so thankful to ALL of the great Principal volunteers, as well as the Coordination Committee and Rhonda Prelip as the Habitat Project Manager, for ensuring that the house was built with lots of hard work and love!
