Ford Home

Suzanne Ford is a single-mom of four small children; Collin-7, Tyler-6, Evan-5, and Madeline-4. Suzanne found it difficult to find adequate housing options in North Iowa for her family’s size and financial situation. She heard that Habitat for Humanity was accepting applications and decided to apply in search of securing a long-term housing solution.  They will be receiving the project home located in Mason City. Completion date is in Spring of 2011.

Suzanne is a full-time student at N.I.A.C.C. She is pursuing an Associates Degree in Nursing. Outside of school she is employed with Willow Pointe Senior Living, of Mason City.  In her spare time she enjoys spending time outdoors, participating in church events, and visiting with family.

Her kids enjoy going to new places, playing video games, riding bikes, swimming, singing songs, and guitar lessons. They also participate in AWANAS and other church activities, sports at the YMCA, and hanging out with family.

We want to thank the members of Clear Lake E-Free Church for coming out and volunteering on Suzi's house. We were able to finish the dry wall in the bedrooms, kitchen and the living room. Thanks for all your hard work that day and we look forward to working with you again in the future. Also a big thanks to M.O.P.S. group for providing lunch for our volunteers.

Suzi Ford and her four children received the keys to their new home from Habitat for Humanity last night at her dedication!  “I can’t express the magnitude of how this has impacted us,” Ford said.  “This is now officially our home.”  The Ford family is the 38th Partner Family in our six-county area to receive safe and affordable housing through the Habitat program.  Habitat for Humanity NCI is very thankful to Gregg Helmich and the NIACC Building Trades Class for their hard work building this home for Suzi & her family!
