This Mason City home was one of the first two Habitat homes to be built in the Cerro Gordo area. It was donated back to the organizaton a couple of years ago. After having renovations and repairs made, it is now the new home for a local father and son who were flood victims four times, most recently in June 2008 in Mason City. If all goes as planned Chris and his son will be moving into their new Habitat home in the Fall. Their home was donated back to the organization a couple of years ago. Chris, a manager at Subway, also fixes computers and electronics. In his spare time, Chris works at the Habitat ReStore, other Habitat homes, and helps remodel and make repairs at his own Habitat house on South Coolidge. Chris’ son, Christopher, enjoys video games and participating in Tae Kwon Do and the Special Olympics.
