Lucretia Warren, and her three sons, Jaden, Bryson, and Braydon, currently live in Belmond and after a devastating fire, were in search of a decent and affordable house to finally call home. This build was made possible through sponsorships from the Thrivent Builds Program, the Eaton Foundation, and the City of Belmond. Lucretia is employed at Krysilis in Belmond. When Lucretia is not working, she enjoys spending time with friends and family and going to her children’s sports events. Jaden, Bryson, and Braydon love to ride bikes, go to the skate park, play baseball, and playing outside. They enjoy spending time with their friends and going fishing with Grandpa and Grandma!
Groundbreaking for the home in Belmond, on a lot in the Country Club Estates neighborhood donated by Sharon and the late Larry Kinseth family, was May 16. It is the first Habitat build in Wright County. The Eaton Corporation, a diversified industiral manufacturer with a facility in Belmond, initiated the project and is contributing a $20,000 to help build the home in its local community. Funding for the home is bolstered by a grant for $56,000 from the Thrivent Builds Program of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, the fifth home in a row that Thrivent Builds has sponsored through Habitat NCI.
On December 19, 2010 Habitat for Humanity had the Belmond house dedication ceremony for the Warren Family. Volunteers from throughout the area worked diligently to finish the home in time for the holidays. We wish to give a big thanks to Fond & Doug Thompsen from Thrivent Financial services, Kevin Bock from Eaton Corporation, and all the volunteers for their great help throughout this entire project. We couldn't of done it without you!!
